About Us

“We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; — World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems.”

Arthur O’Shaughnessy (1873)

"A Republic, If You Can Keep It"

“When Benjamin Franklin was asked after a session of the Constitutional Convention, “What kind of a government have you given us?” he replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.” Our republic is founded on the principle that it will continue only as long as the people keep democracy alive. From Lexington to Korea, American youth have fought to preserve democracy. With each political campaign, the people who vote keep democracy alive. Each citizen who participates in community affairs is keeping democracy alive. Every act of mercy and helpfulness, every word spoken for freedom, keeps the democratic spirit alive. Democracy is maintained by passing it on from one generation to another in the school, in place of worship, in the home. At every stage, it must be strengthened. Let us therefore resolve to give to our successors a stronger republic than was passed on to us.”

About The Aegis

The Aegis, as stated in The Iliad was a shield carried primarily by Zeus in Greek mythology, which he sometimes lent to Athena. According to other sources, it was not a shield but rather an animal skin worn over the garments of the gods as extra protection. It bore the head of a Gorgon and made a terrible roaring sound during battle. The Aegis was forged by the Cyclopes in Hephaestus’ forge, and had golden serpent-like scales and a Gorgon’s head rolling its eyes. In some texts, it was mentioned that when Zeus would shake the Aegis, clouds would cover Mount Ida and men would hide in fear.

The Aegis of Athena is referred to in several places in The Iliad. “It produced a sound as from a myriad (10,000) roaring dragons (Iliad, 4.17) and was borne by Athena in battle and among them went bright-eyed Athene, holding the precious Aegis which is ageless and immortal: a hundred tassels of pure gold hang fluttering from it, tight-woven each of them.

The modern concept of doing something “under someone’s aegis” means doing something under the protection of a powerful, knowledgeable, or benevolent source. The word Aegis is identified with protection by a strong force.

In Greek, the word Aegis literally translates to an impenetrable divine shield.

We Were Founded...

On the idea of mixing modern technology and techniques without forgetting where it all started. The great battles that were fought before us or the battles that will come after us. Firearms and firearm manufacturing mean many things to many people. They can be used for hunting or they can be placed in display cases to bring back memories of family members, passed down from one generation to another. All of these are wonderful additional benefits to owning firearms but that was never the intention of our Founding Fathers when the Second Amendment was written and included in the Bill of Rights.

To us, they stand for all of these things and so much more but the most important thing we think about when we turn the lights on in our shop in the morning is the freedom enshrined by our creators. 27 simple words which will never be taken away no matter how hard they try to muddy the water or change the definition. You’ve heard these words before and will no doubt hear them many times again but never forget what they mean and why they are there.
