There’s a section of the Auto Sear bushing where the spring comes through to hold the Auto Sear pin captive. Many people bend this part of the spring during installation which will effectively render the captive ability of the housing useless. This will lead to your Auto Sear pin working it’s way out of the lower receiver during fire and will lock the firearm up as the parts come lose inside your full auto lower receiver.
As with everything else that Aegis Cerakote & Gunworks designs, simplicity in design is always our top priority. When installing your Auto Sear, simply slide the slave pin through the receiver to hold it in place. Then push the slave pin until it is flush with the wall of the lower receiver. Now, keep the Auto Sear pin in direct contact with our slave pin and push the Auto Sear pin all the way through until the slave pin exits the other side of the receiver and you’ve now correctly installed your Auto Sear.
This slave pin is designed and manufactured to be used over and over while eliminating damage to the lower receiver, Auto Sear or Auto Sear spring or bushing.
